Your vision for 2009

Your vision for 2009

January is an excellent time to spend time thinking about what is next for you. It’s cold outside, start a fire or get yourself a warm cup of tea, stay in your pajamas and curl up with your journal or notebook and write.

Write your story for 2009. Write as if it was January 1, 2010 and you are reminiscing about your wonderful year. Write about all that went well and how you had the perfect year. Have fun with it and really think about your year in detail. Be specific; include all aspects of your life.

Think about all of what 2009 held for you.

After, look back on your writing and make a list. This is your master list, the list of 2009. List everything, list it all, and list more after that and then…just a little bit more. List as if you had 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 52 weeks of the year to do what you wanted.

Push yourself and think about all you could accomplish.

This is your inspiration; use it every time you need something to do. Use it to inspire yourself. Use it so that you don’t spend your year sitting around watching TV or surfing on the net.

Use it to help you think big and dream bigger!

If you include house related tasks make them about organizing or making your life easier. If you include your family it should be about spending time together, having fun, and improving communication.

Include yourself care, time for healthcare, time for growth and time for reflection.

Once you have your dream list, pick a few items off of it for each month of the year. These are task you commit to, that you will complete.

When you think about your list, your vision based on months and seasons you can be more realistic about what and when you can accomplish your goals. Everyone has a more productive season or series of months. Looking as what you want to accomplished based upon your natural rhythms lets you be more successful. Use your seasonal patterns for success!

January is a time for reflection and planning. Take your January to look back at all that was good in 2008 and all that will be fabulous in 2009.

2009 is now just raw space, wide open possibilities. Fill it with all of what is important and meaningful to you.

Happy New Year!
